Elements of Inspiration: Fashion Magazine

Every once in a while our inner badass comes out – and we feel the need for some serious dark rimmed eyes. Lucky for us – Fashion Magazine had the same idea when they put the beautiful Olivia Wilde on their cover this month. Paired with barely there lips and defined brows – this look is great for fall!

Here is our take:

Camille

Camille started with her Pro Bare Face.

She then used a bronzy gold (Urban Decay Half Baked) shadow as the base colour for the eye. Under the lower lash line she used a shimmery dark grey (Urban Decay Gunmetal) as a thick liner. Using a liquid liner (Bourjois Liner Feutre II Noir) she lined the upper lash line, as well as her lower water line. She then went over the upper line using a darker grey (Urban Decay Creep), and using the same colour did a thinner line under the lower lash line as well.

She then filled in her brows (Basic Elements: Brows) and added mascara.

Camille then added bronzer (Smashbox Halo Bronzer) and a highlighter (MAC Soft and Gentle) to the cheeks. She added a matte skin colour lipstick (MAC Myth) to neutralize the pink in her lips and then added a nude lip gloss (Smashbox Illume).

C2Alexis

Alexis started with her Easy Bare Face. She then added a black liner (MAC Blacktrack) to the upper and lower lashline, and then with a tapered brush went over it with a purple black shadow (MAC Black Grape). She filled in her brows (Basic Elements: Brows) and used a highlighter (MAC Soft and Gentle) in place of blush. For the lips she used a nude gloss (Smashbox Illume), after having dabbed some concealer on them.

A1We both like this look as a fun going out look – it is pretty easy to do, we just suggest blending so that the lines aren’t harsh (or it would look more like the Vogue UK look from a couple of months ago) Enjoy!!

Smashbox Lipgloss Set

For my birthday my bestie Meghan gave me this awesome lipgloss set from Smashbox – we both used the Illume colour from it for this post 🙂 All great colours – and Smashbox really does a great job with gloss – it is not sticky or gross…loves it!!
